Tapioca Vada - ஜவ்வரிசி வடை



Ingredients:
  • Sabudana (Tapioca) 1 cup
  • Potato 1 Medium
  • Onion 1
  • Green chillies 3
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Rice flour 2 tbs
  • Oil to fry
Method:
  • Soak the sabudana for minimum 3-4 hrs
  • Finely chop the onion,green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Boil and mash the potato and keep aside.
  • Drain the water from sabudana and make sure the is no water and add the chopped ingredients and mix well.
  • Add the mashed potato.The reason for adding mashed potato is to bind all the ingredients together.
  • Now add all the other powder ingredients and mix well.If you like spice then u can add another 1/2 tsp of chilli powder.
  • The reason for adding the rice flour is to bind the mixture and for the crispiness.
  • Mix well and make them into small even sized balls and flat them in your hand like patties and deep fry in oil.
Yummy and crispy Sabudana (Tapioca) Vada is ready to serve.
